Susanne Box Elenbaas
Susanne Box Elenbaas is an essayist. While actively freelancing, her articles were in a number of publications, including the Detroit Free Press and the Traverse Magazine. Her goal is to enrich readers’ lives with revelations hidden just below the craggy surface of daily life to pair with the motto, “It is never too late.” Her love language is cooking for anyone who eats and her calling is discipleship, encouraging a growing faith. For that purpose, while mentoring one-on-one, she taught classes on discipleship and led a Discipleship Ministry which paired mentors with new believers. Due to her involvement with Youth for Christ, she was invited to develop a three-hour, high school, lunch-time, activity program which received a Michigan Education Award. She also launched Daily Dozen, a single focused prayer ministry, It covers church attendees by name with fervent prayer for spiritual-growth. Susanne and her husband, of nearly 60 years, have five married children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
